It all started in a dream I had, when I was a young engineer: A flying car.
In fact, this was not a new invention. Flying cars had been in development since the 1930s. So, it is all done already. But why aren't we all using flying vehicles after 80 years of development?
In my opinion, most of the ideas went wrong from the start. Driving an aircraft with folded wings or folded rotors on the road is not practical. Apart from the complicated mechanics and the high price tag, it is bulky on the road and difficult to park in the city. And above all, the air traffic regulations do not allow an aircraft to take-off or land everywhere you like. This is only permitted in air fields and airports.
Considering the ignorable number of pilots in earth’s population and other factors like weather, I no longer see a good reason for the development of a complex flying car to only satisfy the desire of a minority.
I started seeing the “flying car” from a different view.
Reconsidering “my dream”, I found it is important to consider:
the day to day needs of most people on earth rather than just realizing the dream of minorities
heavy urban/city traffic as well as interstate travels
safety and weather factors
economy and environment
different needs and different budgets
the current international rules and traffic regulations for the road and for the air
the exploding traffic volume on the road and in the skies in the future
flexibility and fun.
I finally came up with a modular concept.
TrixyFormer is not a flying motorcycle. It is a futuristic and realistic, individual transportation system.
TrixFormer is a concept to shape the future of personal transportation and it is a multi-billion business designed to relief the city traffic and reduce the pollution. It is designed to shift the traffic from overfilled high ways, interstates and autobahns to the railways and open skies, but considering human psychology and the need for individual, personal transportation.
TrixyFormer is based on reality and in accordance with current traffic regulations, which is expected to only get tougher in the future.
TrixyCycle is developed with the intention of offering manufacturing, marketing, sales and maintenance to the international automotive industry with the aim of creating healthy competition to improve the quality and reduce both the initial and operating cost for the consumers. The intention is also to make room for further investments and further developments and to create a wide range of different models and different qualities under different brand names to cover the needs and satisfy the desires of almost man or woman, from a student to a billionaire and from a farmer to a banker. The buyer should have a choice of model, color and equipment within budget reach.
Further developments may lead to other categories of motorcycles for off-road use and for military applications. A foldable single-seat version may also find a good market in the future. It should open new doors for rental businesses and parking services.
TrixyRail is designed to shift interstate traffic from the road to the rails. It is designed to make travel between cities safer, faster, easier and more comfortable. Railway travel is also more economic and environmental friendlier than highway travel.
It will need governments to encourage railway companies and travelers to create and use such a system. This is a further step on the way of creating a better world for human kind. It will also encourage more travelers to use TrixyCycle to cover all their travel needs.
Realistically, this may take time to establish but it is surely worth considering the system.
TrixyAir is designed to shift interstate traffic from the road to the sky. It also considers the desire of mankind to fly like a bird. It puts the current and realistic future air traffic regulation as well as new air traffic control systems in consideration. New systems, such as WAAS in the USA, EGNOS in Europe and MSAS in Japan, are designed to fly aircrafts without a pilot by using satellites, ground stations and computer, which directly operate autopilots built in the aircrafts through high-tech radio communication. These systems are aiming to make air traffic and flying safer and faster in the future. They are no dreams but already a reality now.
The three aircraft types developed to be docked into TrixyCycles are also a reality. Trixy Aviation has already proven that the concept works and that it is very realistic. This is the most difficult part of the TrixyFormer concept. Docking into a train wagon or a parking system is much easier.
Yes indeed, I turned my dream into reality and I am proud of the Trixy-team, which made us achieve the goal in a record time. I am also thankful for all the great support of our cooperation partners and suppliers. I truly would not have made my dream come true without them all.
